There are relatively few other significant ball clubs in the alliance today that are just about as adored as the New York Yankees. This rich-in-history group was established in 1901. Starting as the Baltimore Orioles when the American League became possibly the most important factor, the group gathered its packs and moved to New York. Once there in 1903, the group name was changed to the Highlanders. In 1913, the group changed its name one last an ideal opportunity to the Yankees.
With the name change far removed, the time had come to configuration a few regalia and logos to give the New York Yankees their “look.” The amazing, all-American look of the first New York Yankees logo included a baseball, covered in “Yankees” composed right across the front in red.
